What makes my eyes this way?

im a guy, and ever since i was a little kid ive always been told that i have pretty eyes. Its because my eye lashes are really long. I DO NOT wear any kind of make up, i say this because i have been accused in the past. When i was younger i even washed my face in front of those who didnt beleive me, to prove that i didnt. so i guess what im asking is, what makes my eyes that way? is it hereditary?
